UK Status Resident. Common Montgomeryshire Status Not a very common species at all, but it has been found in very low numbers throughout much of the county. Wingspan : M & F, 28-38mm. Confusion species Stranger. |

  Habitat Open places on light soil. Foodplant A wide range of herbaceous plants. Lifestage data Overwinters as a pupa in a cocoon on the ground on in the leaf litter. Larva July-August and a later brood when conditions are suitable. |
